We test materials to the point of failure, adding more and more stress and pressure. As humans, we do not require any such testing to prove our worth. Codependency tricks us into believing we do and we're all paying the price as it becomes institutionalized in our profession.
Codependency has nothing to do with your strength of character or resilience. It's rooted in your need to make others happy at the expense of your own well being.
Signs that you have a problem with codependency include, need for control, perfectionism, suppressing your emotions, losing your own identity and sense of what you actually want and need.
Codependency has become institutionalized in our profession and looks like overperforming, lack of respect for schedules, and sacrificing fees or staff well being to please a client.
Getting out of codependency requires getting back in touch with your own identity, needs and wants and making them non-negotiable.

When you invalidate your needs or contributions, you set yourself up for less respect and more stress. Learn how to stop all that and feel good about work again.
You are big energy- but you don't need to be in crisis mode to access that power, decisiveness and directness.
Find small ways to assert your needs and abilities until you feel comfortable asserting in bigger ways.

Success is an inside job. Putting more focus on achieving than evolving is a zero sum game. Break free from the polarized thinking that traps you into thinking that if you aren't achieving you're failing.
If it seems like no matter what you achieve, you still feel empty, it's because you are looking for success outside yourself.
Achieving comes as a consequence of evolution. Being clear about who you are and what you want will lead to opportunities.
There is no failure. There is curiosity, learning and discovery.
Be unapologetic about your evolution by tapping into your internal clarity and accepting all parts of yourself.
Following the rules is never as important as following your heart.

Burnout isn't about how much you have to do. It's about how meaningful, appreciated and supportive your work environment is.
Although exhaustion can be a symptom of burnout, you can't sleep your way out of it. You have to make changes to your lifestyle and working conditions to recover.
Don't be a burnout dropout. While your first instinct might be to escape, focusing on uncertainty will just fuel the fire.

The difference between asking and claiming is empowerment. Do you believe you can get what you want, or do you believe someone else has to grant permission? Listen in to learn how to make what matters to you a non-negotiable.
Asking places power in someone else's hands. Claiming states that you have the power to get what you want. You take full responsibility for your actions.
Claiming is pure confidence. You believe so strongly in what you want and know you have the skills and ability to make it happen. You are not available for excuses.
When you claim something, you show that you know your worth.
Claiming is active, not passive. It involves self-directed action, not passively waiting for someone else to lead you through.
When you claim- you will be heard. Every no becomes a not yet,
