Many people joke that they wish could clone themselves so they could be twice as productive. Well,...you kinda can. Learn how to redirect your brain's editing system to filter for inputs you need to solve a problem, without the painful iteration.
By it's very nature, creativity requires we journey into the unknown. Yet, by its very nature, our brain really likes repetition. In fact, there is a whole system that filters out sensory inputs, rejecting the vast majority of information our senses deliver to us. In this episode, learn how to give that editor some different instructions so that filter running around in the background is helping you get things done while you go about the rest of your day.

We pine and long for some fabled state of balance, when what we really want is freedom. Freedom to choose how we spend our time, freedom to prioritize what matters.
As we continue to explore time and how we spend it, we're gonna park today on this whole myth of balance and how it keeps us stuck in some cosmic juggling act where everything has equal importance. Top takeaways:
Get help if you need it- check out two of my entry level coaching sessions here that will help you get some perspective and clarity: http://architectingpodcast.com/index.php/coaching-programs-angela-mazzi/
Look at how you're actually spending your day. If too much of it is on obligations and life management, you need to re-prioritize.
It's selfLESS not selfish to make your mission your priority
When you feel happy and fulfilled, you model purpose and heart led behavior for others
Happy, fulfilled you does everything better- even that compulsory stuff

Say Yes to Life

Nose to the grindstone gets you a paycheck. But you are so much more than that. Today, you start saying yes to life, to the things you want to do not just the ones you have to do.
I'm so excited, we are on the eve of the launch of my second book. Time Builder is the book I didn't know I would write, but this topic called to me precisely because I see so many architects shutting down the possibility of living the life they love while doing impactful work because they don't think they have enough time. I share my own strategies for doing more without burning out:
Choose priorities over balance
How to put your subconscious mind to work for you
Why exquisite self care is manadatory
Get out of anxiety and the perfectionism and procrastination that come along for the ride.
Ways to preserve your bandwidth
Start feeling comfortable and worthy of receiving help

Set it and forget it is not a catchphrase that should ever be applied to your career. Complacency and competence won't get you anywhere, unless putting your career in zombie mode just to earn a paycheck is your goal.
This episode puts a mirror to your soul to reveal why choosing the path of least resistance to avoid the stress of forging ahead just leads to stagnation. Let's explore your growth edge and get you on it by
Taking "no matter what actions" from a heart led place. When you have this urgency of purpose, you'll be surprised at the connections you can leverage and the opportunities you will unabashedly pitch.
Re-framing failure as learning and evolution. All wisdom comes from failure.
Focusing on how success will feel, not on specific outcomes so you can stay open to possibility and seize opportunities, even if they don't look like what you originally imagined.

Care Less

Hey you white knuckling the steering wheel of life: it's time to stop trying to control everything. Time to care...less.
That doesn't mean you don't take time to get clear, or follow you passions. What it does mean is you don't get invested in the outcome looking a certain way. Be open to all possibilities by doing the following:
Empower others to share your story- their way, to their audience
Recognize that control is a form of fear and that fear repels what you want form coming to you
Take action then watch for what happens next- take the next appealing opportunity, even if it isn't the one you thought would come
Be ready to pivot as you go from inspired action to inspired action knowing that moving forward will lead you where you were meant to go

Oh, we've all had our buttons pushed a few times. In those moments, when our anger has bubbled to the surface, we feel justified being terse and critical. Because we're right, right?
Anger is a very powerful emotion. It can take over and our mighty wrath can do a whole lot of collateral damage. In this episode we explore the root causes of anger and how to leverage all that agitation to foster a solution not smite the wicked.
Learn how anger is useful in getting clarity and taking action
Recognize that anger is just another form of fear and address the root cause
Take away the incendiaries of anger - stress and exhaustion
Focus on facts to reign in emotion and drive toward common goals.
