Go Big
Monday Sep 27, 2021
Monday Sep 27, 2021
Going Big in your career starts as an inside job. You can't take a stand for others or question the status quo if inside you are in turmoil. Who you are affects what you do.
Stop limiting your success out of fear of limited resources. Believe that success is more than just getting today's needs met.
Take risks to see results. Remember failure is learning and the only thing that will really take you out of the game is fear of judgement.
Big success comes with a responsibility to have a big voice. It isn't arrogant to use the spotlight to advocate and draw attention to your cause and mission. Instead, you have earned the privilege of being able to inspire others.
Success is your birthright
Enjoying your success by living a good life replenishes you and allows you to have more to give to others. The more successful you become, the more self care you'll need.

Bullying Stops Here
Thursday Sep 23, 2021
Thursday Sep 23, 2021
In the workplace, bullying, including manipulation and gaslighting tactics can masquerade in unrealistic expectations, encouragement to play it safe and criticism of leadership skills. Big facts to help you recognize when it's happening.
Constructive criticism and concerns about readiness will always come with offers of support. If someone makes you doubt your ability so you won't set ambitious goals, question their motivation not your abilities.
Be wary of unrealistic expectations. Doing something you don't feel good about to please someone else makes you responsible for their happiness. Practice using healthy boundaries to avoid codependent exchanges.
Leaders don't try to bring everyone along. Be a mama duck and head down your path. Those that are inspired will follow.
Go where your wanted, not where you're needed. Trying to convince someone who isn't ready to make a change (even if they would benefit) is manipulation.
Disagreement is healthy. Never accept being made wrong for making a decision someone else doesn't like. Be respectful of others decisions then agree to disagree if you can't find common ground.

Unconditional Success
Monday Sep 20, 2021
Monday Sep 20, 2021
Are you deferring your success to later days? Imagining that "someday" without taking action today?
Successful people take action, even if it's messy. They show up and make things happen regardless of whether they feel ready.
Disconnect from the need to make the things you do right or wrong. Instead be curious about why something did or didn't work. Everything in just information, not a judgement of your potential. Look for guidance and learn the lessons- then move on.
The person you were is your foundation, keep building the person you will become every day.
Raise your standards. Always look for opportunities to stretch yourself and to live your best life.
Shift thinking. Free yourself from needing to have some form of success and be a future version of yourself to unlock your ability to do something. Instead, be "future you" now and act accordingly to have what you want.

Evolve Like Hell
Thursday Sep 16, 2021
Thursday Sep 16, 2021
Stagnation, decay, evolution, which do you choose? Because guaranteed you are doing one of those three things this fine moment. This episode focuses on how to choose evolution for yourself, your loved ones, and the greater good.
You don't get a permission slip to rest on your laurels. Whatever you've done or accomplished is simply a portal to your next level.
Prioritize your evolution. Lead with that in every choice you make.
Do something to move forward every day. Maybe it's just thinking about what you want to do, maybe it's making a phone call, maybe its a quantum leap. Just keep moving.
Make joy your non negotiable. Seek it out relentlessly and don't wait to have the experiences you've always dreamed of having. Joy is a magnet that will draw people you want to work with towards you.
Connect with your spirituality, Pray daily and ask for guidance. Follow the signs and synchronicities that pop up- they are the breadcrumbs leading you down your intended path.

Stop Living the First Available Life
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
It might be fine to accept the first available table at a crowded restaurant, but when it comes to your life's work, settling in no bueno.
Just because you are good at something doesn't mean you should be doing it. Look past expectations and titles and feel into how aligned you are with the work you are doing.
It's easy to see what we don't like but still try and fit ourselves into that mold thinking we will be happy when (fill in the blank) instead think about what makes you happy now and do that.
There is a difference between roles and titles. My Archetyper tool which you can download for free here lets you align your interests with roles so you can craft the career path that's meant for you.

Make Your Day Work for You
Tuesday Sep 07, 2021
Tuesday Sep 07, 2021
Ready to stop being a slave to your day? Let's reframe everything you know about time whether it's working or playing and start leveraging the way our brains and bodies work to get more from our daily 24. Click here to deep dive into more with my Thrive class at a special price
Make time for what matters instead of excuses. Question everything about how you spend your day and root out activities that are habits not purpose.
Once you know what really needs to be done, see if you can delegate all or part of a task to someone else. This gives them the benefit of experience while you get the benefit of fresh perspective with fewer hours of your own time spent.
Take time to recharge and replenish. Make it your mantra to do less better.
Our subconscious mind has a gatekeeper that only lets in the sensory inputs we have prioritized. Give that gatekeeper some new instructions to find insight and inspiration quicker.
Get out of survival mode by reducing stress. The stress response turns off the very brain functions you need to have a high performance day.

Stand in Your Sovereignty
Thursday Sep 02, 2021
Thursday Sep 02, 2021
Sovereignty- that state of complete ownership of ourselves and our natural right to integrity is becoming an elusive phenomenon. This episode explores how to let go of people pleasing and feel comfortable with disagreement.
Recognize when someone you are dealing with is a bad actor. Look for attempts to use grains of truth to sow self doubt, or making you wrong if you don't agree with them
Take the time for introspection. Act in truth and integrity and you can always feel comfortable standing by your decisions.
Jesus never extended an olive branch to the Pharisees. You can't placate abusive people because their actions are about them not about you. Recognize the hypocrisy in their actions for what it is.
Disengage from situations that would compromise your sovereignty. By engaging- even to defend yourself- you add energy that fuels the abuse.
Seek the counsel of others. The best way to dispel dark behavior is to shine light on it. When you check in with others, you get reassurance that you are not the problem and feel more empowered to walk away.

Uplevel your career. It's in your power to claim the career you were meant to have. Don't forget to download my free workbook to help you get even more out of this episode. Flip the Script will help you write your own career story.
Approach your career like a design problem. Where are the pain points? What innovation can you bring to meet your goals within the present constraints?
Getting ahead in your career is about having greater and greater influence. With influence comes impact.
Recognize what is holding you back are your own beliefs about what's possible- otherwise you would have done it already. List what you want to accomplish and how it would make you feel, then write down why you can't do it. This will allow limiting beliefs to come to the surface so you can question their validity.
Competition holds you in limitation, look for ways to stay on your unique path instead
Failure is learning. When you go big, you get wiser with every attempt.
Making money isn't selling out. It's being recognized and rewarded for bringing value. Money expands your influence and lets you help other make a difference.
Validation is doing something to please others in the hopes of getting ahead. Throw out the checklists and focus on heart led work and evolving to accomplish your mission. The recognition you get from that will equal impact not an "atta boy."

Managing Client Expectations
Thursday Aug 26, 2021
Thursday Aug 26, 2021
Shifting priorities, but not deadlines, pressure to provide more service for less fee. We've all been there trying to win work and maintain client relationships. But at what cost?
Don't get caught up in a race to the bottom on fees. Understand that there is a buyer for every market- some want cheap sunglasses while others want high quality designer items. Position yourself for the market you want to be and you will find a client match.
Understand the dynamic relationship between time, cost and work. Work with your client on strategies to prioritize one and understand how it impacts the others
Give your clients more of a behind the scenes glimpse into your process so they don't just see the polished items in meetings. This helps them appreciate the complexity of issues that must be considered and expertise involved in asking the right questions and knowing how to evaluate the data.
We make ideas come to life. Build in time for a client to see an idea play out and perhaps discover that it isn't in fact the right move. Build the deign process as a journey of discovery and structure your fees and schedule accordingly.
