Thursday Jul 07, 2022
Thursday Jul 07, 2022
Just showing up all passionate about things doesn't always convince people that you should be leading on the issue. Learn three things all leaders have mastered in order to have authority and clarity.
High performance habits help you get more done better, leverage the skills of your team, and empower your clients/users to co-create solutions with you.
Clearly communicating expectations and strategically taking on the right opportunities prevents you from burning out by overservicing and neglecting your own development.
Work/life balance is so 2000. In today's world, it's about being able to integrate all parts of your life.
Don't expect success someday when you can have it today.
Success isn't an either or duality. Embrace the AND.

It’s Time for a Reset
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Friday Jul 01, 2022
If you suffer from chronic stress, you are literally short-circuiting your nervous system. Listen in to this education session I did recently on how to reset yourself and break the stress cycle.
Turn off the stress response by doing physical activities like breathing, meditation and movement that activate your parasympathetic nervous system
Recognize the beliefs you have around earning love and how other people see your worth.
Get clarity around what you want to do to avoid being sidetracked and having your energy depleted by overserving others
Stop qualifying opportunities and relationships that aren't aligned.
Success should give you energy. If you feel dread or exhaustion at the thought of taking something on, it's not the right opportunity.

How to Leverage Your Conference Experiences
Thursday Jun 23, 2022
Thursday Jun 23, 2022
Conferences aren’t just an opportunity to get CEU’s. Smart conference goers know how to leverage what they’re learning, build and activate their network. Listen in for my pro tips on making the most of your conference experience.
Conferences are an active learning experience. Presenters are your peers sharing their insights around the same issues you are facing. Take the time to ask them questions and to connect on social media.
Don’t just build a network - activate it. Keep connections warm by tagging them in posts you make sharing relevant information. Read and engage with the content they publish.
Keep the togethering fatigue at bay by giving yourself quiet moments and allowing yourself some alone time between bigger session breaks in your hotel room. Yes, introverts, I’m talking to you.
Share what you’re learning by thinking outside the conduit of projects. Conferences at a perfect opportunity to connect the dots around what you’re passionate about and see it in an expanded context.
Be open to considering the adjacent possible.

Is Intrepreneurship Your Next Career Move?
Monday Jun 20, 2022
Monday Jun 20, 2022
Ready for a promotion, but the role is already filled at your current company? Instead of looking for a new job, you might want to consider creating a new leadership position for yourself. Listen in to learn about intrepreneurship and how to know if this strategy is right for you.
Where are there gaps in the industry? How could your company position itself to provide service there?
Are you willing to shift your focus from project based work and individual achievement to business based thinking?
Intrepreneurship requires thinking like a leader. You need to hold big vision and stay out of the weeds.
If you have the skill sets for this role, check in to make sure it's a move aligned with your passions. A promotion for promotion's sake will always feel hollow and empty.
You are an Intrepreneur if you naturally follow your passion beyond projects and pursue knowledge without someone else providing you with opportunities.
Think holistically about your Intrepreneurship proposal and have a transition plan.

Three Ways You’re Sabotaging Your Productivity
Thursday Jun 16, 2022
Thursday Jun 16, 2022
You can read a million books or articles on productivity. You probably won't implement most of it. Not because it's bad advice, but because you have three major blocks in place. Listen in to learn how to neutralize these root causes for staying stuck in exhaustion, brain fog and innovation jail.
Start practicing good sleep hygiene. Sleep resets your system, detoxifies the body and keeps hormones in balance.
Eat well (Just Eat Real Food) and take the supplements you need to offset the ways you've depleted yourself.
Move more. Movement sends oxygen and nutrients to your body, eliminates toxins and waste and deescalates the stress response.

Reframing Practice: Interview with Tim Hawk
Monday Jun 13, 2022
Monday Jun 13, 2022
Your career is not a set it and forget it thing. It's also not a recipe you follow. Architect and Educator Tim Hawk tells us why you need to constantly reinvent yourself, take on heart-led opportunities, align your passion with what people need, and embrace diversity by surrounding yourself with different perspectives.
Think more broadly about your career possibilities instead of accepting what's offered and making the best of it.
Reinvent yourself every five years. Embrace your personal evolution and align your career path with it.
When in doubt, go with your heart. Doing what you love gives you energy and passion that you can apply to all the other stuff (which will get figured out even if you don't prioritize it).
Make room for other people by getting out of the way. Let others rise into tasks you've outgrown.
It's easy to get placed within a frame around colleagues who know you. Step outside of your frame by working in a different context where you are able to be more than what the people who know you see.
Design for what people need and align your passion with that.

Are you More Afraid of Failure or Success?
Thursday Jun 09, 2022
Thursday Jun 09, 2022
Can you actually be success intolerant? Yeppers. This can happen subconsciously. You think you want to be successful, but fear the unchartered territory of who that version of you will be. Let me be your sherpa and help you navigate your internal and external success obstacles.
We all have a success setpoint. When we start to move to the upper limits of that, we feel more and more uncomfortable and stop taking action that builds forward momentum.
You can fear being successful will mean you no longer fit in with your current groups of friends/family/coworkers and not know how to seek out a new more expansive and supportive network.
You can fear that success is too much work and not sustainable. Realize that success equals more resources which allow you to uplevel your energy. Far from being exhausting, success is energizing.
You can fear being seen as an imposter. Far from being a fraud, sharing what you know - even if you are just one or two steps along the path- can help others get to where you are.

Can You Have High Confidence AND Low Self-esteem?
Thursday Jun 02, 2022
Thursday Jun 02, 2022
No way do confident people have low self-esteem, right? Except... maybe you do. No one talks about the way this seeming paradox happens or how it holds you back in life and work. Let's shine the flashlight into that dark corner of your psyche so you can break the self sabotage cycle starting now.
SIGN UP FOR STRESSLESS SUCCESS VACATION LIFE WORKSHOP
Confidence is outward facing, based on observable abilities. You get feedback through achievements. You are comfortable with your skills and can adapt them to the needs of the situation, aren't afraid of failure, are willing to ask for help and empower others.
Self-esteem in inward facing and tied to your feelings of worthiness. It's based on things we were taught and conclusions we drew from life experiences. These become cemented into beliefs about what we need to do to earn love or acceptance.
You can use high confidence in a negative way to protect yourself from feelings of low self-esteem. This shows up as a constant quest to be of service instead of taking action aligned with what you really want or need.
Learn to embrace the fact that you intrinsically have value, without needing to prove anything.
Catch negative thoughts related to low self-esteem and replace them with facts around your areas of confidence.
