You work hard- but are you working smart? Being a detail oriented superstar without also seeing the meta level issues can lead to a whole lot of effort and energy being spent with way too little impact.
- It's essential to question the premise and identify hidden restrictions that are based on collective assumptions not reality
- Move from addressing symptoms to targeting the root cause
- Look for the patterns for clues about what the real issues are
- Focus on detail first isn't a path to quality, it's a path to myopia
- It costs a lot of energy, effort and time to solve any problem - make sure you advance what is important instead of maintaining the status quo.
