Earth Day 2026 - The Power of Many Perspectives: Interview with Kristin Kahle

It's not enough to be a sustainability expert, you need to be able to drive innovation AND its adoption. My guest Kristin Kahle aka the Great Convener shares her tips on bringing diverse thinkers and industries together to promote well being for all.

1. Educate others to get buy in for trying new things, especially in industries where risk avoidance is common.
2. Evaluate solutions based on what is constructable and maintainable.
3. Don't underestimate the power of focus groups to understand true pain points
4. Evaluate products based on
   1. Supply chain integrity
   2. Recycled content/recyclability
   3. Reduction of construction waste
   4. Ability to reconfigure/adapt as space needs change
   5. Little or no disruption to adjacent spaces
   6. Shortens construction schedule
   7. Conserves natural resources
   8. Allows coordination with municipality or utility to reduce infrastructure loads to non peak times
5. Leverage your network to get the POV of adjacent industries
