You care about community and environmental health. If only you could incorporate more sustainable and resilient strategies into your projects. - Saying "How might we?" instead of "How can we?" takes the conversation past barriers and talks about what's possible.
- Curiosity is where Innovation happens. Invite more people, and ask more questions.
- Help clients answer the questions what do I do about it and how do I do that responsibly within the constraints I have to find opportunities in a specific institution or a specific context
- Think about sustainable solutions within the lifecycle of infrastructure. Rather than replace something that might be operable for many more years, create a timeline for investigating alternatives that can replace it at the end of its life. This helps clients have a stake in finding the solution and gives them years to get comfortable with change before they have to make it.
- Climate resilience has to do with our community's resilience, our institution's resilience, which is directly impacted by climate crises. It impacts the community, the workforce, the supply chain, our clients.
